PhilGEOS is a biennial gathering organized by the University of the Philippines Department of Geodetic Engineering (UP DGE) and the UP Training Center for Applied Geodesy and Photogrammetry (UP TCAGP), a constituent center of the UP National Engineering Center (UP NEC). It has become one of the Philippines’ premier gatherings of geomatics technology developers, researchers, professionals, users and students from all over the world.
This year’s PhilGEOS supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with the theme “Geomatics for Sustainable Development Towards a Better Future“.PhilGEOS 2023 will take place at the UP Diliman Campus, Quezon City, Philippines on December 6 to 7, 2023.
With this, we are pleased to announce that the Call for Abstracts is now open! We invite you and your colleagues to submit your research and technical papers through this online form: https://bit.ly/3IzRsMz.
GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION
1. All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.

3. Content of the papers must be related to the topics below:
- Geospatial data acquisition and management for SGDs
- Spatial analysis and modeling for sustainable development
- Remote sensing for monitoring and assessment

- Geomatics for sustainable urban development
- Participatory mapping and citizen science for SDGs
- Geospatial solutions for water resource management
- Geomatics for disaster risk reduction and emergency response
- Geomatics in agriculture and food security
